Increasing entrepreneurial interest requires the role of various <br>parties, especially the role of government and universities. This research aims to determine the influence of <br>entrepreneurship courses in increasing entrepreneurial interest in Biology Education students at Buton Muslim <br>University. The population in the research were all students of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Buton <br>Muslim University, then the research sample was all Biology Education students, FKIP, Buton Muslim University. The <br>research was carried out through several stages, namely preparation of research instruments, data collection and data <br>analysis. The sampling technique used was Purposive Sampling Test. The research results showed that 52% of <br>respondents agreed that entrepreneurship courses encourage students' entrepreneurial interest, 26% said they were <br>neutral, and 22% said they strongly agreed.</p> sanusi Ridwan Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Sains dan Pendidikan Biologi 2024-04-29 2024-04-29 3 1 131 135 Eksplorasi Jenis Dan Pemanfaatan Tumbuhan Obat Tradisional Yang Ada Di Kawasan Hutan Tirta Rimba https://ojs.umu-buton.id/index.php/JSPB/article/view/100 <p><strong>Abstrak</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Tumbuhan obat tradisional adalah tumbuhan berkhasiat obat yang telah terbukti digunakan oleh masyarakat secara turun temurun. Pemanfaatan tumbuhan obat sebagian besar dilakukan dengan cara direbus dan digunakan secara langsung. Tumbuhan obat dapat diperoleh dari pekarangan rumah, di kebun, dan di hutan salah satunya yaitu hutan tirta rimba, namun demikian tumbuhan obat yang ada di kawasan hutan tirta rimba belum banyak yang teridentifikasi. Tujuan penelitian ini yakni mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis tumbuhan obat yang ada dikawasan hutan tirta rimba, mengidentifikasi bagian organ tumbuhan yang digunakan sebagai obat, serta mengetahui cara pemanfaataan tumbuhan obat. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 8 Agustus sampai dengan 31 Agustus tahun 2023. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kawasan hutan tirta rimba, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, identifikasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif, yaitu data yang diperoleh akan dipaparkan atau digambarkan secara naratif, serta disajikan dalam bentuk tabel dan grafik. Hasil penelitian ini memperoleh 19 spesies tumbuhan berkhasiat obat yang ada di kawasan hutan tirta rimba yakni : <em>Sellaginella plana, Morinda citrifolia, Hibiscus tiliaceus</em>, <em>Lantana camar</em>, <em>Artocarpus heterophyllus, Chromolaena odorata, Peperomia pellucida, Desmodium gangeticum, Annona muricata</em>, <em>Coccinia grandis</em>, <em>Euphorbia hira, Bidens pilosa, Swietenia mahagoni, Phyllanthus urinaria, Abrus precatorius, Citrus aurantifolia, Cocos nucifera</em>, <em>Mangifera indica, Arcangelisia flava</em>. Sedangkan bagian organ yang digunakan sebagai obat yakni : daun, buah, biji, batang, dan ada yang digunakan lebih dari satu organ tumbuhan. Pemanfaatan tumbuhan obat dilakukan dengan cara direbus sebanyak 47,6%, dibakar 4,8%, ditumbuk 9,5%, dan digunakan secara langsung 38,1%.</p> Hartina Rimakefing La Ode Kaharudin Ridwan Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Sains dan Pendidikan Biologi 2024-04-29 2024-04-29 3 1 137 151 Penggunaan Pupuk Organik Cair Kotoran Kambing untuk Meningkatkan Pertumbuhan Tanaman Jagung (Zea mays L.) https://ojs.umu-buton.id/index.php/JSPB/article/view/101 <p>Corn (Zea mays L.) is one of the important food crops in Indonesia and has a strategic role in the Indonesian national economy as the main food crop which not only provides food, but is also a source of animal feed and industrial raw materials. This research aims to determine the effect of applying liquid organic fertilizer from goat manure to increase the growth of corn plants (Zea mays L.). This study used a randomized block design consisting of four treatments and three replications, namely control treatment (J0), 50 mL/L (J1), 100 mL/L (J2) and 150 mL/L (J3). The research stages are preparation of materials, making liquid organic fertilizer from goat manure, planting corn, applying liquid organic fertilizer and maintenance. The results of research on plant height parameters showed that the highest plant height was in treatment J3 (150 mL/L) at 110.67 cm. The highest number of leaves was found in treatments J3 (150 mL/L) and J2 (100 mL/L), amounting to 10.00 and 10.67. The highest leaf area was in treatment J3 (150 mL/L) at 820.25 cm. The purpose of this study was to identify the total number of cooperator breeders, officers and acceptor cattle breeders, evaluate the level of participation of stakeholders, the success rate of synchronization and the pregnancy rate of acceptor cattle in the artificial insemination activities in Baito Subdistrict, South Konawe Regency. The research method used purposive sampling with the number of respondents being 55 breeders, 3 officers and 67 Bali Cattle. The research Variables consist of cooperator breeders and acceptor cows, level of stakeholder participation, success rate of oestrus synchronization of acceptor and pregnancy rate of acceptor cows, and service per conception. The data obtained were tabulated and analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the total cooperator breeders and acceptor cows was classified as high as 31 people (56,36%) ad 24 people were classified as moderate.The success rate of synchronizing IB with the duration between synchronization and the occurrence of estrus, an average of 69 hours with estrus quality of 2,76; S/C 2,76; NRR 21 days, 30 days and 60 days in Baito subdistrict, South Konawe Regency respectively 77,56%, 78,41%, and 76,47%, CR 68,26%.</em></p> La Aman Tabia Rina Sumiarti Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Sains dan Pendidikan Biologi 2024-04-29 2024-04-29 3 1 158 165 Sistematik Review Integrasi Hukum, Ekonomi, dan Biologi dalam Pengelolaan Sumber Daya Alam: Evaluasi Kebijakan, Dampak Ekonomi, dan Konservasi Ekosistem https://ojs.umu-buton.id/index.php/JSPB/article/view/104 <p><em>Sustainable natural resource management requires effective integration of law, economics, and biology. This study aims to conduct a systematic review of the literature exploring the interactions between these three disciplines in the context of natural resource management. The methodology includes literature collection from academic databases, quality assessment of studies, and thematic analysis to identify key patterns and themes. The review findings indicate that stringent legal policies, such as species protection laws and conservation areas, are effective in mitigating the negative impacts of economic activities on the environment. Economic approaches, such as cap-and-trade systems and incentives for sustainable practices, have also proven effective in reducing pollution emissions and enhancing resource efficiency. However, this integration faces significant challenges, including differing objectives between law, economics, and biology, as well as a lack of current biological data. To address these challenges, a collaborative approach involving scientists, policymakers, and practitioners is needed to develop policies that holistically incorporate legal, economic, and biological considerations. However, adherence to legal regulations often poses significant challenges that impact the effectiveness of management in these areas. This study aims to evaluate the relationship between legal compliance and fisheries sustainability in conservation areas using a systematic review approach. The methodology includes searching literature from major academic databases, selecting studies based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, and thematic synthesis of the findings. The analysis focuses on the impact of legal compliance on ecosystem health, challenges in law enforcement, and the biological impacts of fishing practices. Findings indicate that conservation areas with high legal compliance generally experience improvements in fish biomass and biodiversity. Conversely, weak law enforcement is often confronted with issues such as resource shortages and corruption, which reduce management effectiveness and lead to habitat degradation and declines in target species. The use of advanced technology and community-based approaches has proven to enhance compliance and conservation outcomes. The method used in the research is the library method. This research studies and examines various kinds of literature regarding references. Be it in the form of books, articles, journals, and other information related to the discussion in this journal. Media is anything that can convey messages through various channels, such as stimulating someone's thoughts, feelings and desires so that it can encourage the creation of effectiveness in adding new information to someone. However, human activities such as overfishing and habitat destruction pose significant threats to marine biodiversity and ecosystem stability. To address these issues, various legal regulations have been implemented, including catch quotas and marine protected areas, as outlined in the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) and the International Convention on the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT). Despite these measures, challenges such as inconsistent compliance and economic conflicts often hinder effective implementation. This study aims to evaluate how legal fishing regulations contribute to the management and conservation of marine ecosystems and their impact on marine biodiversity. The methodology involves a systematic review of relevant literature, assessing the effectiveness of legal frameworks and identifying implementation challenges. Findings indicate that while legal regulations provide a robust framework for fisheries management, challenges in enforcement and economic conflicts frequently obstruct conservation efforts.
